Inventar Geo

Inventar Geo is an all caps multiple width display family with three widths and a large repertoire of typographic possibilities. Inventar Geo is part of the Inventar Collection and is inspired by geometric reverse-contrast typefaces from the seventies often used in Sci-Fi contexts (Zipper, Sintex, Moore Computer, etc.).

The individual fonts include each capital in three finely adjusted widths: Condensed (keyboard layout uppercase) Narrow (keyboard layout lowercase) and Normal (activated via OpenType feature Small Caps). The different widths can be used separately or mixed manually, providing many variations in colour and texture.

In addition, numerous stylistic sets are available (20 in total), including alternate glyphs for the characters O, Q, C, D, and G (round shapes), as well as for I, J, K, M, R, and W, and stylistic alternates for several figures and punctuation. Each font also contains a selection of special characters, e.g., Capital eszett, interrobang, and arrows, as well as geometric symbols and ornaments. Diacritics are compact for tight line spacing with additional alternates for Ä, Ö and Ü.

Matching italics and reverse italics are in the making.
