Same procedure as every year: here are this year’s images of the type & typography exhibition, displaying student works from my courses of the last academic year at Burg Giebichenstein.
Many thanks once again to all the students who have contributed some great work, especially to my assistant Falko Gerlinghoff and his collaborator Markus Lange (who are responsible for the wonderful banners and 3-dimensional letters as well as their general support for the end of the year show) and to the students who have helped installing the exhibition (namely Tabea Nixdorff, Patrick Muessiggang, Lukas Adolphi, Julia Senft, Jana Schindelbauer and Gunther Schumann). Also many thanks to my colleague Kathrin Grahl for a great workshop as well as her assistants and Sofia Löser and Henrik Bettels for setting up the Typogrphic Stretching Exercises exhibtion.
If you want to learn more about the type & typography course at Burg Giebichenstein you’ll find under the following links my teaching approach including typographic assignments and many student works (currently only in German; the English version will follow soon).
